A moment of momentum, like a wave pushing through water or a flag in the wind, both concave and convex. A visible slice of energy, held still and aglow.
Hearth offers a place for busy bodies to gather, slow down, and spend time.
Handmade in Alameda California, this sculpture is composed of 84 linear elements that bring two meandering paths together.
The artwork and its pedestal bench were commissioned by Hotel Healdsburg with help from David Baker Architects.

A sculptural map depicting the entire length of Broadway, one of Oakland’s oldest main thoroughfares, as it runs from Jack London Square to the foot of the hills. Made of laser cut and mirror-polished stainless steel, the artwork folds up overhead and into the lobby to visually place the viewer inside the map while reflecting the color and texture of the surrounding city. If the streets of Oakland represent the paths of our lives, Broadway is the through line that connects our individual stories.

Aeriform Dwelling is inspired by a summer I spent living covertly in a hidden airstream trailer set at the edge of the San Francisco Bay, underneath a busy airport flight path. The suspended mobile sculpture is made of interwoven forms; some of which that are only visible from certain angles as the artwork rotates in the air.

Toolbarrow is a cabinet of curiosities intended for the modern day craftsperson. A collection of tools, most of which so antiquated that their use is now somewhat mysterious or completely lost on the next generation. Combining the craftsperson’s traditional hand-made toolbox and the wheelbarrow, a typically unappreciated yet time-tested workhorse of construction, this sculpture provides an alternative design by integrating a certain level of flamboyance associated with custom car culture, flaunting a body made of curly maple with a 100 brass spoked low-rider wheel with a coopered wooden rim.

Inspired by the tremendous impact that the printed word has had on modern civilization, The Press declares freedom. Viewers can trace the path of force from the hand wheel to the page via proudly displayed mechanisms reminiscent of antique presses. This machine was designed to be hand inked and operated by a single person, producing one unique print at a time.

Sculpture: Uplift by San Francisco
Artist Shawn HibmaCronan
Doves are international symbols of hope and peace. For centuries, doves have been utilized as messengers, connecting faraway lands and uniting civilizations across land and sea.
Uplift is constructed in the shape of a dove's wing, featuring 21 laser cut feathers, each representing one of the APEC member economies. This unique sculpture is made of welded stainless steel, that has been mirror polished and brushed. The artwork is set upon a hand formed base made of Cyprus wood, sustainably sourced from 200-year-old Bay Area-grown tree.
This sculpture was designed by American artist Shawn HibmaCronan, a native of the Bay Area, who utilizes a range of traditional and cutting-edge fabrication processes to create strikingly novel, yet timelessly beautiful artwork. His work has been exhibited at museums and public spaces across the United States and Asia.
